Management of Gifts and Invitations Syskern’s employees and partners should only accept symbolic gifts or reasonable courtesies that do not compromise their independence or professional judgment. Likewise, no solicitation for inappropriate advantages will be tolerated. Any attempt to influence through excessive gifts or invitations will be firmly rejected.

Protection and Encouragement of Reporting Syskern encourages its employees and partners to report any suspicious situations or attempts at corruption. Act of Corruption Corruption refers to the act of offering, promising, giving, or accepting an undue advantage to influence someone’s action in the exercise of their duties. Governed by the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA, 1977), the UK Bribery Act (2010), and the Sapin II Law (2016), this act is illegal in both the public and private sectors.

Act of Solicitation Solicitation refers to the request or incitement to offer an undue advantage to influence a decision. It is prohibited by the UK Bribery Act (2010), the FCPA (1977), and the Sapin II Law (2016).

Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) of 1977 (United States) The FCPA prohibits U.S. companies and individuals, as well as certain foreign companies operating in the United States, from bribing foreign officials. It also imposes accurate accounting records and strict internal controls.

UK Bribery Act 2010 (United Kingdom) The UK Bribery Act criminalizes active and passive corruption in both the public and private sectors. It requires companies to implement anti-corruption prevention measures.

Sapin II Law of December 9, 2016 (France) The Sapin II Law requires large companies to implement compliance programs to prevent corruption and influence peddling, thus enhancing economic transparency.
